... Comedyfest's Andrew Clay and Mike King gave a great spontaneous laugh last night.  Though their techniques might be different they both let their own brand of humour work wonders on the crowd.  the fact so many people were busting to get in when the doors opened proves there's definitlya need for stand-up humour, but I'm sure nobody could have forseen just how good these two were going to be.

Andrew Clay had the uneviable task of opening, his hour-long set touhing on everything from dopesmoking cricketers and harmonic happy birthdays to whinging Aussies and female orgasms.  Life will neer be the same again....

... the night is still so vivid, as is the ache in my sides.  Congratulations to both Andrew Clay and Mike King for an awesome night, and my be bring us many more.

...Three weeks of research for a predictable outcome:  Andrew Clay and Mike King are New Zealand's best stand-up comedians.  Daring, confident, energetic, with a contagious sense of fun... they're having a great time and it shows.

On the opening night of the Pulp Comedy group show, Clay wiped away memories of Candid Camera (no mean feat) with some hilariously explicit material - the true function of a soap on a rope is to swing from an erection in the shower?  I'll buy that.
