Is Andrew Clay your real name?

Yes it is. You know how you always wonder if your name sounds famous, well I know mine does 'cause someone else has already used it - Andrew 'dice' Clay

Who are your comedy heros?

I grew up listening to Bill Crosby and lots of British stuff like Morcombe and wise, the Two Ronnies and of course Billy Connelly.

Lots of American stuff too. Eddie Murphy is a stand out but my real heros were the hard nosed Aussie Pros that I learned my trade from and with back in the early 90's at the Sydney Comedy Store.

Were you always funny?

Born and raised in West Auckland, New Zealand, Andrew was 21 before he cast aside a "career" as a sales rep and set off to seek his fortune on the comedy circuits of Australia. Four years later, after a number of national tours performing in over 200 venues across the Tasman, as well as short tours to the U.K. and Singapore, Andrew returned to New Zealand to join the current comedy explosion in the Northern region. Highly recommended as both a headliner & MC...his audience rapport is almost incomparable in New Zealand.
